Regulation Is Not the Enemy

Too many energy projects stall because regulation is treated as a blocker.
It is not. It is a design constraint.
The strongest decentralised energy models I see are built with regulation in mind from day one. Not retrofitted after commercial decisions are locked in. License exemptions, private wire, local balancing. These are not loopholes. They are deliberate tools within the market architecture. If you understand how the rules were written, you can design projects that scale and monetise.
If you ignore them, you spend years fixing avoidable mistakes. Regulatory strategy is commercial strategy. Treat it that way early, and your project moves faster, not slower.
What part of regulation do you wish you had considered earlier in your last project?
